NDY Melbourne Manager Fire Engineering, Elissa Fazio, has been invited to represent Australian fire engineers at the 2012 Fire Protection & Safety in Tunnels Asia conference.
"I am very excited and honoured to represent both NDY and my Australian peers at this year's conference" Elissa said. "In my capacity as National President of the Society of Fire Safety, this conference is a unique opportunity to share knowledge with industry contemporaries from around the globe".
Elissa is the first female to be elected President of the Society of Fire Safety and was recently re-elected for a second consecutive term, a rare honour in the history of the Society.
The Fire Protection & Safety in Tunnels Asia conference will be held in Singapore on February 21 & 22 with a site visit the following day. This Tunnel conference builds on the success of the previous two years and returns to delve into issues at the heart of tunnel safety management.
Through a wide range of selected European and Asian case studies, roundtable exercises and panel discussions on road and rail tunnels, this event promises to address some of the industry’s most pressing issues.
