City of Swan Yagan's Memorial Park

NDY provided design and engineering consultancy services for the lighting design of Yagan's Memorial Park, located in the City of Swan.
 
We provided lighting of functional areas such as, car park, pathways, etc as well as focus lighting of symbolic features such as the rammed earth walls, boulders, trees and the memorial statue. Of critical importance was for the design to totally respect the cultural and heritage values of the community and the memorial itself.
 
The lighting design was well-balanced with the requirement of keeping a low visual impact to surrounding areas such as the Swan River, West Swan Rd and adjacent properties. The lighting design also incorporated simple operating systems with high quality and low maintenance fixtures (such as LED) to reduce ongoing cost expenditure, by minimising replacement of lamps.  We also designed the associated switchboards, cabling and lighting control systems in the park.
 
Once the project is approved for construction we will also be engaged for the contract/ construction administration works for the project and attend the final commissioning/ handover of the lighting system to the City of Swan and the aboriginal community.
